Glenn Beck Goes Silent For Two Minutes On Live TV

Wow. A moment of silence for Glenn Beck. Literally. Actually it was more than a moment, it was about two minutes worth of silence…on live TV. I don’t know how many cable hosts could pull off not talking — with not having any talking — for an entire segment, but Beck managed to pull it off admirably, with the help of his chalkboard.

All this quiet time was part of Beck’s silent protest against Obama’s assertion last week that “I do think at a certain point you’ve made enough money.” While Beck quietly filled out the incomes of some high profile Dems on his chalboard the Obama clip would play intermittently in the background. For a full two minutes. Performance art meets the peace movement? The silent film era? The time out method? Not sure. But it made for strangely entertaining TV. Maybe it should be a regular segment. Video below.
