Keith Schiller, a longtime aide to President Trump, has reportedly “told associates” that he intends to leave the White House.
According to CNN, he’s been telling people recently he plans to leave “at the end of September or in early October”:
Schiller has told people his primary reason for leaving was financial, the sources said. Schiller earns a $165,000 annual salary at the White House — a downgrade from his annual earnings before he followed Trump to the White House…
The sources stressed that Schiller’s reasoning was primarily financial, but one source said Schiller has also grown frustrated with the new system installed by White House chief of staff John Kelly aimed at restricting access to the President. Schiller has complained that he must call into the White House switchboard to reach Trump over the phone, one source said.
Schiller was Trump’s bodyguard and was made head of security for the Trump Organization years before he became President. Schiller was the one who reportedly hand-delivered the letter firing James Comey.
One June report said he was on a list of people House Intel Committee investigators wanted to talk to for the Russia probe.
