Obama to Resume Campaign Trail Sunday After Canceling for Ebola Meetings

President Barack Obama will resume campaigning for Democrats on Sunday, after having canceled a few campaigning and fundraising trips so that he could attend cabinet meetings on the Ebola response.

Obama was scheduled Wednesday to attend a Democratic fundraiser in New Jersey as well as a campaign rally in Connecticut for Gov. Dan Malloy (D). His appearances were canceled so that he could attend meetings with administration officials on the response to Ebola, which has infected at least two people in the U.S. Obama was also scheduled Thursday to attend a Democratic fundraiser in New York. That, too, was canceled so that he could attend more meetings related to Ebola.

The White House has added to Obama’s schedule, however, a trip to Chicago on Sunday so that he can attend a campaign rally for Illinois Gov. Pat Quinn (D).
