Obama Effigy Hung off Overpass Brings Out the Bomb Squad

A mannequin affixed with an Obama mask was hung in effigy off a highway overpass in Missouri, bringing out the bomb squad and shutting down the highway Monday morning.

The mannequin was discovered at about 5:30. When deputies went to remove it they spotted what appeared to be explosives strapped to the dummy; the bomb squad was called, and a robot removed the dummy to a secure location while all lanes of I-70 were shut down. No explosives were found.

Authorities are investigating whether the dummy, images of which they have not released, constituted a threat against the president.
