Pence: Trump Will Present Evidence Against Sexual Harassment Allegations ‘Before the Day Is Out’
Donald Trump has been fighting back recently against stories from women who say that he sexually abused them in the past. These accusations come as Trump faces repercussions from his “grab ’em by the pussy” remarks, which have invited criticism into his treatment of women.
When Pence was asked about these matters on CBS This Morning, he argued that Trump has moved past his inappropriate behavior, and the allegations have no truth to them.
“He’s categorically denied these latest unsubstantiated allegations,” Mr. Pence said on “Before the day is out, there will be more evidence publicly that shows and calls into question these latest allegations.”
When Charlie Rose asked what kind of evidence was coming, Pence said he wasn’t sure, but it’s certainly in the works. Pence went on to talk about whether the Trump campaign would proceed with lawsuits against media outlets pushing the claims, and also whether Hillary Clinton is using the stories to distract from the issues.
The news about Trump’s accusers have dogged him this week, and another accuser will reveal herself alongside Gloria Allred later today.
