Trump Reportedly Wants Robert Kraft at WH Ceremony For Super Bowl-Winning Patriots, Aides Said to Be Freaked

Despite the fact that New England Patriots owner Robert Kraft was recently arrested in connection with a Florida prostitution sting, President Donald Trump reportedly wants his longtime pal to visit the White House this spring to celebrate his team’s latest Super Bowl championship.

According to Politico, the president has informed White House staffers that he would like Kraft to take part in the festivities honoring the Patriots’ title. Trump and Kraft have spoken since the arrest, according to the piece.

Politico further reports that White House aides are less than enthused by the prospect of Kraft showing up amid his ongoing legal troubles. Two White House officials, though, told Politico they would not try to stand in the way.

“In my opinion it’s up to Kraft if he’s willing to come — not on us here to block him,” a person identified as a senior White House official told Politico.

The friendship between Trump and Kraft goes back many years. Kraft has long been an outspoken supporter of the president, and has even appeared on The Apprentice.
