President Donald Trump is set to deliver remarks about taxes on Thursday afternoon at the White House.
The session is being billed by the White House as a speech, not a news conference. And so the press will, presumably, not get the opportunity to grill Trump on any number of topics.
And so instead of the Mueller probe, or Syria, or Stormy Daniels, Trump will stick to a subject he’d much prefer to speak about — taxes. Polls show support for the Trump tax cuts rising as workers see more money in their paychecks. The president is likely to tout public support during his remarks Thursday.
The speech is scheduled to begin at 1:45 p.m. ET. Watch above, via the White House.
