“This is not your grandfather’s pole dancing,” warned guest-host Tucker Carlson on Fox and Friends Monday morning.
The panel, consisting of Eric Bolling and “The Carlsons,” as they called themselves, gave tepid approval to the proposed Olympic pole dancing, conceding the activity was “very, very athletic” but wondering if it was worth dumping Greco-Roman wrestling and baseball in the exchange.
But Carlson (Tucker) pointed out that the competition would differ in several substantive ways from the sport’s practice in the wild. “You can’t put a single dollar bill into the uniform if you’re in the audience,” he said. “And I’m quoting now, ‘It cannot be done in an overtly erotic manner.’ That’s like a dog without fur. That’s like a pizza without cheese.”
“Can you imagine someone commenting on this?” Carlson (Gretchen) said. “They can’t use any of the terminology that’s currently used. We can’t even say it on TV!”
