Over the weekend, Fox & Friends anchor Brian Kilmeade fired off a Tweet suggesting that the U.S. should meddle with the upcoming presidential election in Russia — slated for March 18.
Reading this Mueller indictment..our biggest problem Russians don’t fear or respect us @realDonaldTrump has to change that..they have an election coming up..payback time?
— Brian Kilmeade (@kilmeade) February 17, 2018
On Monday morning, Kilmeade went all the way.
“They’ve already proven — last week in testimony with all our intelligence chiefs out there, they said there’s already indications they’re messing with 2018 midterm elections. Whether it’s fake news through social media, through using these bots, whatever it is.” Kilmeade said.
And the best defense, according to Brian Kilmeade? A good offense.
“Nobody knows more than about cyber technology than us,” Kilmeade said. He added, “They have an election coming up. Why don’t we get involved in their election? Why don’t we flick the lights?”
Sanctions won’t do it, according to Kilmeade. The Fox & Friends host is convinced a more forceful response is needed.
“The only thing they understand is direct confrontation,” he said. “They don’t fear us and they don’t respect us. That has to change.”
