Trump campaign manager Kellyanne Conway appeared on CNN’s New Day on Thursday morning. Chris Cuomo drilled into Donald Trump‘s ambiguous remarks about accepting the results of the election.
One of the most controversial moments of last night’s debate occurred when Trump said he would “keep you in suspense” about whether he would concede to Hillary Clinton should he lose the election. Conway insisted that Trump would respect the results on November 8, but then she attempted to justify Trump’s recent rantings by pointing to the events in Florida which surrounding the end of the 2000 election.
Cuomo promptly went after Conway, noting that not only was Trump conjuring electoral issues before anything actually happens, but also that the mogul’s surrogates frequently have to clean up after him and promise that he’ll abide by the final vote.

Conway promised again that Trump would respect the results barring any voter fraud or similar anomalies, but Cuomo pointed out how Trump has never said himself that he will commence the traditional transfer of power.
“It sounds not just like whining, but disavowing the democratic process if it doesn’t suit Donald Trump’s personal preference.”
