Earlier this evening, Donald Trump‘s vice presidential pick Mike Pence decried what he sees as Hillary Clinton‘s “insult-driven campaign” during a debate with her VP pick, Tim Kaine. Clinton herself tweeted that Trump, too, is running an insult-driven campaign and the battle raged between the left and right both on-screen and online.
After Kaine spent some time blasting Trump for his lack of foreign policy knowledge and ties to Russia, Pence said that he was “insult-driven” once again.
“You know, I’m just saying facts about your running mate,” said Kaine, who then went on to suggest that Pence is uneasy about defending Trump.
Watch above. (Bonus: Pence said we don’t live in a time like the old days “when you could just say stuff and people would believe it.” Debatable!)
