Bill Barr: Democrats Trying to Discredit Me Out of Fear of What I’ll Uncover

Attorney General Bill Barr hit back on Friday at critics who’ve accused him of lying under oath and acting in contempt of Congress.

In a portion of Barr’s interview with Fox News’ Bill Hemmer, that AG was asked for his thoughts on House Speaker Nancy Pelosi accusing him of lying of Congress earlier in the month. Pelosi based her charge on the argument that Barr gave false testimony when he claimed that Robert Mueller didn’t have any objections to his memo on the special counsel’s report, even though Mueller’s letter to Barr suggests otherwise.

“I think it’s a laughable charge,” Barr said of Pelosi’s allegation. “I think it’s largely being made to try to discredit me partly because they may be concerned about the outcome of a review of what happened during the election. But obviously, you can look at the face of my testimony and see on its face there is nothing inaccurate about it.”
