Fox News Guest: Some Food Stamp Recipients Too Busy ‘Watching Porn’ Instead of Finding Jobs

During her appearance on Fox & Friends Wednesday morning, Star Parker, Founder and President of Center for Urban Renewal and Education, said one of the issues with some people using the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) is how they have very little incentive to work because they are too busy watching T.V. and pornography.

Parker said the shame of being on food stamps has been taken away since they have become  “like an EBT swipe card, it’s a debit card” and so there is even less incentive to get off of it. She complimented President Donald Trump’s administration for telling SNAP recipients they have to find work within three months.

“Remember, most of our safety net programs are…for you to get back on your feet,” she said.

“And so what the Trump Administration is saying is, ‘Come on guys, the economy’s doing good. Why are you still sitting around?’ People here in Washington, in particular [American Enterprise Institute] has done extensive studies on this to show that what they’re calling them now are watchers,” Parker added.

“These guys are not working. They’re watching. They’re watching porn, they’re watching TV, they’re watching women, they’re watching everything, but they’re not working. And this is what this initiative is attempting to do, is to get them back into their own lives so that they can prosper,” she said.
