Football Recruit Announces College Choice by Recreating Classic Goodfellas Scene

screen-shot-2016-11-21-at-4-16-02-pm-2Fans of Martin Scorsese’s classic film Goodfellas now have a new favorite college football player to cheer for — defensive tackle Greg Rogers.

Rogers, currently a high school senior, made his college choice in just about the coolest way ever — by participating in a re-creation of the movie’s iconic Copacabana scene.

Bleacher Report filmed the sketch, which nailed many of the details of the Copa sequence — right down to the use of the song “Then He Kissed Me” by The Crystals in the background.

The skit culminated with Rogers donning a UCLA hat and announcing his committment to the school. We can only hope that Rogers, a Las Vegas native, isn’t sent home to get his shine box.
