Lindsey Graham Jokes About Pelosi’s ‘Surgeries,’ Apologizes

Senator Lindsey Graham today made a joke about Nancy Pelosi that didn’t go over well and he had to apologize. A Bloomberg report of the reaction to Benjamin Netanyahu‘s speech today features Graham saying at a private fundraiser, according to someone in the room, “Did you see Nancy Pelosi on the floor. Complete disgust. If you can get through all the surgeries, there’s disgust.”

Both Salon and The Huffington Post pounced, decrying Graham for making the “sexist” comment.

Graham ended up apologizing:

And later, when Graham talked about Netanyahu’s address on Fox News, Bret Baier asked him point-blank if he was quoted correctly. Graham didn’t dispute it and again apologized to Pelosi if he offended her with that remark.
