As Bill O’Reilly continues his media tour to promote his book Killing England, he dropped by Laura Ingraham‘s radio show and they discussed her upcoming Fox News program.
O’Reilly, who was let go by Fox after multiple allegations of sexual harassment, used to occupy the 8 p.m. time slot now held by Tucker Carlson. Fox News’ primetime shakeup now has Sean Hannity moving up to 9 p.m. and Ingraham getting her new show, The Ingraham Angle, at 10.
As Ingraham’s site LifeZette reported today, O’Reilly gave Ingraham this warning:
“I have to warn you — for 20 years of my life, while I was on the Fox News Channel, I was attacked personally every single day. You will be, too,” O’Reilly told Ingraham. “They have millions of dollars to spend to destroy me and to try to destroy Sean Hannity, who was smart enough to fight back. They’re going to come after you.”
And like Sean Hannity did earlier this week, Ingraham asked O’Reilly if he’d consider a return to cable news. O’Reilly said, “I have to make a decision: Do I want to come back into this hateful — and that’s the word — hateful arena where the truth doesn’t matter?”
He said the liberal media “smeared” him with aims to “destroy people with whom we disagree,” and said that if he does return, “I know I’m going to have to fight that every day.”
