Administration “Angry And Frustrated” With BP Oil

As you might imagine the latest update on the BP Oil Spill is not good. The company is apparently trying a new method of stopping the “runaway” leak that involves something called a “top kill” (explained below). Meanwhile, after all this, the spill may indeed become Obama’s Katrina in so far as cries the government has not done enough appear to be mounting.

CNN reports that Sec. of the Interior Ken Salazar met with BP heads today and came away “angry and frustrated.” He is not alone, except that the national frustration seems to slowly be directing itself towards the administration. Video below.

Slowly due to the coverage from MSM. I remember when President Bush was angry and frustrated with Blanco and Nagin over Katrina and not reacting to his declaring a state of emergency days before Katrina made landfall. But the media never reported such anger and frustration, they just immediately went after Bush.

Just one more example of the standard the media employs these days – go after pubbies, give dems a pass.

To be fair, there just isn’t a whole lot Barry can do. After all, this is an oil spill not a state dinner for a fellow socialist or a Fox News Story in need of berating.

Administration “Angry And Frustrated” With BP Oil

Why? BP hasn’t written another one of those BIG campaign donations?

BP hasn’t said thank you for that Safety Award Barry gave them?

    30 days late!

Hey Munch. If Obama moved the Navy in on day one you would have on this site SCREAMING about how Obama is a socialist Dictator hellbent on taking over a private business.

    So spare us.

This BP’s fuck up. Obama did not drill the well. He did not give them the oil lease to drill.

Cheney and Bush ignored years of problems and looked the other way on this rig FOR YEARS.

During its nine years at sea, since it began pumping earlier this decade (under Bush and Cheney’s not watchful eyes) the Deepwater Horizon oil rig operated by BP suffered a series of spills, fires — even a collision — because of equipment failure.

The Bush admin constantly missed opportunities to make sure rigs like this had emergency shut off switches. Too expensive! Former oilmen Dick and GW Bush cried on behalf of their oil buddies back in Texas.

  • Liberty – Not Redistribution

This is a shining example of corporatism. Huge companies intermingled with government is not capitalism, it is corporatism. These liberals and neocons are guilty of it. The taxpayer, forced by the US government, bails out billion dollar companies. It’s disgusting.

Imagine if this were happening during the Bush administration…..

I ‘m not sure who is providing the live feed of the oil freely flowing and I would hope that it is BP providing the video; but that needs to be shown on every channel until it is contained. It has been 35 days.

While the BP CEO was talking today about multiple options, every cable channel was showing the oil gushing.

This has an effect on everyone and can’t be forgotten for the next news cycle.

By the bye…keep the Sec. of the Interior out of this. Almost every federal functionary has managed to cause problems and then be replaced by others who still don’t represent individual states. BLM in the west as a prime example. Water rights, again in the West.

Eventually, America will be a parking lot with a lot of pipes and anything that was unique will be lost. I climbed this country for a decade in the ’80s and even then it was changing from what it used to be. And I took pictures!

As a conservative, literally, maybe we should stop selling our souls to the highest bidder.
