O’Reilly Discusses Glenn Beck’s Future At Fox: TV Is ‘My Main Deal, But Not For Him’

Video

Bill O’Reilly appeared with Don Imus this morning and Imus wanted O’Reilly to weigh in on the speculation about Glenn Beck‘s television future. Imus asked the Fox star whether he expects Beck to stay at Fox, and O’Reilly didn’t seem too confident.

O’Reilly’s response to whether the Beck/Fox relationship will continue beyond Beck’s current contract:

“I don’t know, I mean, this guy is building quite an empire. Glenn Beck, like him or not, I mean he’s a savvy business guy. He’s building up – he’s got The Blaze, which is a very good website. . . . Television for me is my main deal, but not for him. So I guess it’s a business decision.”

O’Reilly also listed Beck’s “powerful” radio show, Internet presence, and appearances throughout the country, concluding “he’s all over the place, so it’s a business decision that he’s going to make.” Imus joked that Beck’s radio show is “marginally good,” but since Imus also claimed “I love Beck,” it seems that he was slightly disappointed that Fox’s main guy wasn’t more optimistic that Beck would stay within the Fox family.

One Fox employee has another Fox employee on his air to talk about yet another Fox employee.
This is bordering on incest. Good grief.

  • Bill Huggins

The only thing a vacation from Fox would prove would be Beck’s continued “relevancy”.

    Will be an interesting experiment

  • Sprocket

I think Beck belongs in AM Radio, as it deals mostly in talk these days. Fox would be better served to find a more relevant and less weird show host.

But then again, I have seen crazy TV preachers hang on for years, preaching a Gospel not entirely of this earth….

I think it makes “ohwell” a Fox voyeur.

Wherever Beck ends up he will be pissing off the Liberals/Progressives/Marxists. And that is a good thing.

As opposed to one MSNBC employee having another MSNBC employee on their show to talk even further about … … Fox.

Would have been much better if it was on MSNBC… then they could have had an MSNBC employee to talk to an MSNBC employee about a FOX employee… just like every other day.

Talking heads don’t lead . Don’t legislate . And at the end of the day a one vote and tax payer like you and I . All of anything else they are is not relevant . Except to the sycophants of celebrity’s .

Yes, it’s much nicer when MSNBC has three employees on air talking about Fox News.

Beck’s already on AM Radio (w/ over 400 stations) as well as satellite radio. But the internet is where the future is, and he’s in it to win it.

    Beck’s CORRECT!

You can smell the angst in the air eminating off those spank monkeys over at ” MEDIA doesn’t MATTER ” s and MSNBC. These two ( Imus & O’Reilly ) played those chumps like a stratovarius.

Roger Ailes is a genius and Rupert Murdoch is laughin his ____ off….all the way to the bank.

The Beck watch – a – thon will raise the interest, viewership, ratings through the earth’s outer atmosphere. Not to mention the hundreds of free advertising and shout outs by all the liberal loser ” FOX NETWORK ” wanna be’s in the MSM.

Whether or not Glenn stays or goes, he and ” FOX ” are the only winners. The rest just keep slipping away until soon they’ll all be gone.

O’Beckerhead is far from being a cash cow for Rupert. The ad boycott reduced the per ad revenues considerably and shut the gate to new adds. The viewership is remarkably small. The demographics are not good. Rupert could probably make more money by getting one of his female blonds, except for Greta O’Van Susteren, of course, in a skanky top, sit in a chair and bounce around for an hour. However, Rupert cannot admit a mistake. If O’Beckerhead wants to continue at FOX “News”, I assume he probably can, absent some remarkable meltdown. The more cogent question: Does O’Beckerhead wish to continue at FOX “News”?

A good thing ? Thats why Obama is in office . People in the middle pushed left from the likes of Beck and Rush .
In case you folks want to realize it or not . The left is going to vote left and the right vote right . The middle is the vote that counts . There is a huge amount of America that don’t get the whole pic . Unlike those on here that seem to .(or they wouldn’t on this site .) Why push the dumb asses away . When you need their vote . I will tell you why . America in the drink is a biz deal to talking heads . They couldn’t care less if Obama wins or loses . Hopefully Obama will win so Rush and Beck will get some real sweet contracts out of it . Is that YOUR HOPE !

Actually, I’ll tell you here but don’t tell anyone else.

Beck’s figured teleportation and he’s sending Obama and his Cult to a planet much like earth but only with Cult members inhabiting.

    Thank God for Glenn Beck!

I was with you through the Cult, then you started talking about space travel. Sounds more like something O’Van Susteren might do.

  • Kitsune

It’s pretty obvious that Beck wants out, but he doesn’t want to say it until he knows he if Chris Balfe will give him the money to do what he wants to do or not.

  • OxyCon

Not many people who venture from radio to TV make it. Beck tho, has been a huge success making the transition, once he got on a relevant, viable network and he’s a constant ratings draw.
I’d hate to see him leave Fox because I find him entertaining and because the far-left America haters have been trying and failing to silence him for years, led by communist scumbag Van Jones.

Looks like Brad, Blue and Pablo got together for a little meeting to repeat the same talking points today.

They must have gotten the idea from Bill Sammon to repeat something again and again.

That’s how it is when wing nuts have nothing better to do

Is this your way of saying, “Yeah… I can’t argue your point. So I’m just gonna stick my tongue out at you and then run away?”

And really… should we go over the “repeat something again and again” as it happens on the left? Do you really want to play that game? Or can we just agree you’re being a hypocritical, and not waste everyone’s time?

  • notsofast

    Beck: American hero,patriot and icon.

  • Arch

Wasn’t Beck going to reveal some big plan he’d concocted (or been told by God)? Did he ever do that? I am honestly asking, as I don’t know. Seems like (from my non-viewer position) he is like the show Lost, throwing out clues and new twists but never actually explaining any of it, just offering new twists. But again, I get that by inference, not watching, so feel free to tell me I’m wrong.

Yeah, it’s only THREE TIMES the nearest competitor. How pathetic.
