White House Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders will hold a briefing Monday to discuss the administration’s latest plans and administrative agenda. It is the first briefing in more than a week — as no sessions were held last week while President Donald Trump was in Florida.
The briefing comes one day in advance of the first White House state dinner during the Trump administration — as the president gets set to welcome French President Emmanuel Macron on Tuesday night. Many Democrats and members of the media did not make the guest list for the dinner — which bucks longstanding tradition for these events.
The press will undoubtedly have other questions for Sanders on a myriad of subjects, considering they haven’t had a chance to confront her in more than a week. Notably, Sanders has not taken the White House press room podium since former FBI director James Comey began his media blitz. The press secretary could face questions about some of what Comey has had to say.
The briefing is slated to begin at 1:15 p.m. ET. Watch above, via The White House.
