Fox News’ Bill O’Reilly and Megyn Kelly already were not the biggest fans of Marilyn Mosby, but the last straw occurred over the weekend when the Maryland State Attorney in charge of the investigation into the death of Freddie Gray appeared on stage with Prince at his “Rally 4 Peace” concert in Baltimore.
“Totally inappropriate, she had no business being there,” Kelly said during her appearance on The O’Reilly Factor Monday night. While Kelly has actually defended Mosby from those who want her to recuse herself in the Gray case, she said her behavior on Sunday night was “out of line.”
“Ms. Mosby is running the most unprofessional office I have ever seen in my life,” O’Reilly added, arguing that the case should be moved out of her jurisdiction.
“It’s not like we didn’t know where Prince was coming at this from,” implying that his bias in favor of Freddie Gray means Mosby should not be associating herself with him. “She’s supposed to be a professional so that she’s above this all, so she is above reproach. So far, so bad Ms. Mosby.”
For her part, Mosby’s spokesperson told the Baltimore Sun that the Prince tickets were a Mother’s Day gift from her husband, City Councilman Nick Mosby, and that the musician spontaneously invited her up on stage with him and was not something she planned.
