Mike Huckabee On Congressional Approval Ratings Slipping To 5%: ‘Just Barely Above A Pedophile’

VIDEO

A new Rasmussen report of likely voters has Congress’ approval rating (people believing they are doing an “excellent” or “good” job) at an unimaginably low 5%, with 68% of those responding thinking that Congress is doing a “poor” job. Former Arkansas Governor Mike Huckabee went on Fox and Friends Monday morning, and noted that it places Congress, “just barely above a pedophile.”

Huckabee was then asked if it was a wise move for President Obama, as reports have suggested, to run against Congress in 2012:

“His smart move is to say, ‘Look, it’s Congress’ fault.’ There’s 535 of them, their message is divided. That’s where the Executive Branch always has the distinct advantage, and frankly, it’s going to be a tough message for his Republican challenger to overcome.”

Huckabee later added that if the Republican challenger wants to win, the best strategy would be to remind people that “this President has miserably failed them.”

Huckabee sure knows a lot about pedophile job approval….

  • Pablo

What’s to know? Does it come as a surprise to you that pedophiles aren’t well liked?

  • Anonymous

Huck is right.  Obama cannot run on his record because it is awful.  He will run on race politics, class envy, jealousy and make a hard play for the illegal alien vote.  Voter fraud will be a key part of his reelection strategy especially in the south.  That is why Holder is suing so many states for trying to implement voter ID laws and immigration laws.  Obama would sell this country to Mexico if that’s what it takes to get one more term.

neither are republicans…who ironically the preferred party of pedophiles~

  • Anonymous

and yet obama has done more than both bushes and reagan in 3 years…
    damn..

you know we have been safe the last 3 years right?
you know american economy is strongest in the world right now right?

and we would have been even better if not for the worst congress in history..
    THE REPUBLICAN TEA PARTY CONGRESS…

    facts is facts..

so even if obama lost–which he will not–dems will still have majority in both houses

  • Anonymous

no matter what the cons say about obama—republican are much worse–

AND OBAMA PUT THROUGH A REPUBLICAN HEALTH CARE BILL WITH DEMOCRAT MAJORITIES IN BOTH HOUSES..
obama is a bad ass Conservative..

  • http://twitter.com/aggsveprogressv AgressiveProgressive

Oh shut up Huckabee. Your personhood amendment failed. GET OVER IT.

  • Anonymous

    Nice line from The Huck.

  • Anonymous

Maybe you haven’t heard but Democrats only control the Senate. The House belongs to the Republicans by a health majority.
It is almost a certainty that Democrats will lose the Senate next year as they will be defending 24 seats while Republicans are only defending 10.

  • Anonymous

the dems will keep senate and win back the house and obama will be reelected…

cons have no idea what is going on right now behind the scenes..

while they are out there attacking america..obamas people are building a campain that will be historic..
    sorry–cons do not have a chance…
the only way cons keep the house is if the economy gets much better..
but they will not allow that—and that is their achilles heel..
their pride and hate topped with lust for power will put them in the minority for the next 20 years.

don’t get excited – i’m a dem – but it’d be difficult at best for the dems to retain the senate, and nearly impossible for the repubs to lose the house…it’s just the facts…if you’re an obama fan, prepare for split government for the 1st two years of the second term…if you’re a conservative, you just gotta pray you can get it together, otherwise you might actually not hold both branches of congress next year

  • Anonymous

This is a Tea House Republican led house of Congress Who the hell is the 5% that thinks that these clowns are doing well.  Make no mistake if the Democrats controlled the House those Propagandist at Fox would be having a field day with that 5% Number……..Pathetic!!!!

  • Anonymous

i do not mind a split government -i actually prefer one..
but with the radicals in place now who are not only obstructionists but are highly incompetent and lack basic knowledge of reality..
it is like people on these forums..
they actually are pro anti american practices just to get rid of an American president who was elected with an overwhelming majority.
they are literally cutting off their political noses to spite their hateful, bigoted 2/faces.
dems will keep the house and take the senate–the only way cons can win is to work with the president to bring unemployment down to 7% and they will not—and that will cost them the house..
it is already too late anyway..
and if you knew what was going on in the back ground?
lets just say Obama may not be good at chess, checkers or tic tac toe..
but he is a hell of a ball player and poker player..
and i will take those 2 over a chess player or checker player any day..

Congress actually has a 5% job approval rating?  That’s pretty incredible.  I assume there’s a 5% margin of error, because this is literally the worst Congress I’ve ever seen.

  • Pablo

I guess you’d know what pedophiles prefer.

  • Charles Ulysses Feney

Hey Huck, speaking of pedophiles, how about your buddy Santorum and his buddy Sandusky????  It’s Santorum’s worst nightmare – He’s a big Jerry Sandusky fan. He’s a “diddler enabler”!

Rick Santorum sponsored Penn State serial pederast Jerry Sandusky for a ”Congressional Angel of Adoption” award at a time when Sandusky, a two time national assistant coach of the year, couldn’t get a coaching offer because of a national whisper campaign regarding his fascination with little boy’s bottoms!

Sandusky “retires” from coaching at 45!!!! (1999) after he had already been caught showering twice with the victims.  In 2002, Penn State grad Santorum sponsors him for the award, further enabling him to build the ring he used to catch more kids, right as coach McQueary catches him a third time buggering a kid in the Penn State showers.

But it gets even better! Santorum sponsors Sandusky for the prestigious award, yet denies he’s ever met Sandusky!!!! A Penn State Senator has never met a Penn State national assistant coach of the year and designated JoePa successor????
“Me thinks he doth protest too much!”

Whoa, one of those rare instances where I agree with Huckabee as well as his analogy.

  • Anonymous

I hear a lot of crackpots go on about all this voter fraud, but it always pans out to nothing. So unless you have some proof, I will assume you are lying too. As far as race baiting goes, well the rw knuckledraggers, like the ones around here, are great for that, while claiming they are vicitms of antiwhite racism.

A theocon hick like Hickabee, outside of the bible belt, has less than a 5% approval. I wish FOX would stop giving make work jobs out to irrelevant ex candidates.

  • Anonymous

Running against Congress will never work, people always carp about Congress

  • ScarredReality

Did you just copy and paste this mis-info from Fox News? Cuz I’m pretty certain I keep seeing this crap pop up there almost every day. President Obama’s record is in actuality quite impressive considering he only had a congressional majority for 6 months. I’m not going to list a thousand links proving my point, i’ll let you look them up. Maybe you’ll learn something.

  • Anonymous

You don’t have a thousand links.
    You don’t have one link.
If you have a rebuttal then make it but telling me I have to go prove YOUR point is extremely weak.

  • Anonymous

Obama’s approval ratings aren’t much above that 5%…and if America wakes up to his schemes…it will fall below that.
    Hope…pray….hope…pray….

  • Anonymous

    Funny!

  • Anonymous

I agree. No way the Dems are retaining the Senate. Too many seats to defend….and some of those are instates where Obama’s approval is not the greatest. MT, MO, NE, PA, OH, FL etc

AAAaaaahhhhhh Mike!  I like yer style man!  Very eloquently put.  Of course you should have completed the picture with some explanation showing the fact that right wingers and tea baggers are what has brought Congress to this level of approval.

  • Anonymous

The tea party is the finger in the dike…keeping this country from washing away.
It is also the finger in your face.

  • Anonymous

Which one of the current fingers in our faces is the tea partay candidate again?

  • http://unpromisedone.blogspot.com/ The Unpromised One

This from the man who forgave and pardoned a convicted child molester named Maurice Clemmons in 2000 JUST because Clemmons believed in the same god as him… Said child molester went on to kill four cops and rape more women and children before getting gunned down himself. Yeah, Huckabee has no right to ever say ANYTHING again as far as I’m concerned.

    Obama is saving the world.
