Chris Cuomo Presses Kellyanne Conway on ‘Looming Questions’ Surrounding Alleged Trump Affairs

Following a contentious 10 minute debate on opioids, Chris Cuomo and Kellyanne Conway concluded by moving on to other topics — namely, as Cuomo put it, “the looming questions surrounding these women.”

In the final part of their marathon showdown on Friday’s New Day, Cuomo led off by asking Conway about the questions lingering around President Donald Trump’s alleged encounters with Stormy Daniels, Karen McDougal, and others.

“How much of a distraction, how difficult is it to get the job done there, with these looming questions surrounding these women, and of course the political intrigue of all the shake-ups you have here?” Cuomo asked.

“This is a very active president,” Conway replied. She added, “He’s hardly retreating into a cocoon.”

“He’s spending a lot of time with this,” Cuomo said. “That’s the fight with Joe Biden. That’s the tweets about this stuff.”

“No, no, no, sorry!” Conway shot back. “He doesn’t spend much time on that.”

Conway then invoked Hillary Clinton without actually saying her name — referring to her as, “that woman who lost the election whose name I don’t say on your network anymore.”

“Took you long enough,” said Cuomo, in a pithy retort. “I think I owe someone lunch.”
