Meghan McCain Says She Broke Up with a Boyfriend over Bill O’Reilly

Meghan McCain has been making the media rounds this week, sharing some interesting stories, but in an interview with U.S. News‘ Nikki Schwab, McCain reveals that she broke up with a guy she was dating thanks to Bill O’Reilly.

And yes, it’s the Bill O’Reilly you’re thinking of.

McCain mentions she’s “obsessed with” O’Reilly, and has made a few appearances on The O’Reilly Factor over the years (O’Reilly once defended her after Glenn Beck engaged in some mean-spirited mockery). But apparently, her enjoyment of the No Spin Zone didn’t go over well with a liberal guy she was dating a while ago:

“I actually had a boyfriend who I dated awhile ago, he and I got in a huge fight because I watch Bill O’Reilly every night in bed and he’s like, ‘I don’t want to watch Bill O’Reilly with you in bed every night,’” she recalls. “That kind of ultimately led to our breakup.”

Well, in the pantheon of reasons people break up, we can now throw in the line “I don’t want to watch Bill O’Reilly with you.”

And speaking of watching TV, McCain also revealed she recently filmed a cameo for the Showtime series House of Lies as herself, engaging in some political punditry.
