What if Weird Al Performed at the Super Bowl Halftime Show?

Let’s face it: there hasn’t been a really good Super Bowl Halftime Show in a while. So the thought of Weird Al Yankovic performing would be a welcome sight, and there’s now a petition to make it a reality.

Let’s just get this out of the way right now: there is little to no chance of this actually happening, in spite of how cool it would be. But there’s still a glimmer of hope, and from hope comes this petition that was written by someone who says he was drunk when he came up with it.

Yankovic, of course, is back in the zeitgeist after a clever viral marketing campaign for his new album, parodying hit songs like “Happy,” “Royals,” and “Fancy.” And look at it this way: would you rather listen to Iggy Azalea entertain you or Weird Al? Yep, that’s what I thought.

And obviously, if he does get to perform at the Super Bowl, this is the song he has to open with:
